Every Ford Modular Engine we have ever disassembled with a broken oil pump showed signs of main cap walk and still had factory main bolts. We have assembled hundreds of engines using the stock oil pumps with ARP Main Studs and not had a single bearing or pump failure. With that being said, this is not an area to cheap out on. ARP Main Studs are a must for all performance engine builds and we would never assemble a performance engine without them!
